The Calvary Road Bible Institute was created to provided the concept of a college level Bible education designed to be much more than Sunday school, but, perhaps, not as much as going to seminary. While the founders firmly believe Christianity is really about the relationship between Jesus Christ and the believer, a true saint must know and understand the precepts of Scripture in order to udnerstand the Person and Work of Christ.
Without a good knowledge of the Bible and the doctrines taught therein, a believer will not be able to form a strong relationship with Jesus. This is the heart of the Bible Institute's approach to teaching.
The Basic Tier will spend three semesters investigating each book of the Bible, Old and New Testaments alike, along with all of the major doctrines as expressed by the Church over the past 2,000 years. This approach allows the follower of Christ to fully understand Jesus' thoughts as He expressed to the people that all of the Scriptures were written about Him.
The Basic Tier indirectly includes the fourth semester which allows for the student to pull together the doctrines and Words of Scripture into an organized approach providing for the use of Hermeneutics (Interpretation) and Apologetics (defense) of the Scriptures, that is the application of the Words of the Bible into everyday life. To accomplish this task, the students will use Paul's letter to the Colossians.
